Adding Endorsements to Your Certificate

It is common for teachers to seek to add endorsements to their certificates after they begin teaching.  In general, endorsements may be added to an existing Type 03, 04, 09, or 10 certificate by completing the requirements for that endorsement.

Endorsements are valid only in the grade levels for which a teacher is certified to teach.  For example, if a teacher with a Type 03 (Elementary K-9) Certificate completes the requirements for a secondary Mathematics Endorsement, that endorsement is only valid through Grade 9.

A listing of endorsements is available below, along with local opportunities (if any) to earn the endorsement.
