Bill Summers

Bill has been involved in education for the past 44 years.  With over 40 years of experience, Bill delights in assisting teachers as they further their education.  He helps teachers match their educational goals with partnership universities as they pursue advanced degrees which will augment their careers, and, concomitantly, benefit students. 

Bill began his career teaching English and Science in middle school.  Throughout the years, he has fulfilled various educational roles including high school counselor, school psychologist, Director of Psychological Services/Testing in a large, urban high school district, university professor, Director of Graduate Programs in Education at a university, and is currently an educational consultant with the Professional Development Alliance.

His main focus at the PDA is cohort development and university partnerships.  Currently, the PDA has partnerships with Aurora University, Illinois State University, and Northern Illinois University. Graduate cohorts are held at the PDA as well as schools throughout Grundy, Kendall, and Will County schools.

Bill has an Ed.D in Educational Leadership from Northern Illinois University, a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership from Illinois State University. a M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Indiana State University, and a B.S. in Business Administration/Teacher Education from Olivet Nazarene University.
