
Jim is a trainer- presenter for the Standards – Aligned Classroom Initiative and has served as a coach for Standards- Aligned Classroom professional learning communities at schools of all grade levels. He has designed and developed trainings aimed at the skillful use of teacher-developed classroom assessments to improve student achievement and motivation. Jim also serves as a System of Support RESPRO coach, providing assistance in school improvement planning, development, and implementation. As a consultant, Jim has training in grant writing and has written successful professional development grants that have impacted teachers in over sixteen schools in the area. A former social studies teacher, division chair, and administrator, Jim’s educational background includes degrees from Illinois State University and Northern Illinois University.
