Reta is a common sense, practical presenter developing and delivering effective workshops, presentations and trainings at school, district, regional and state levels in the areas of poverty, school improvement planning and facilitation and leadership.   She is an experienced coach and consultant to a large variety of schools and districts.  As a building level and district level administrator in both urban and suburban settings, she has experience in comprehensive school improvement and the leadership role in the improvement process.  She is certified by Ruby Payne as a Framework for Understanding Poverty trainer and the implementation of those strategies to improve student achievement.  Her experience with the ISBE as an Educator in Residence enhances her ability to assist schools/districts with school improvement planning and the understanding of No Child Left Behind.  She is also a coach and trainer in effective facilitation and principal leadership.

Reta’s educational background includes an undergraduate degree from Illinois State University, a masters degree in guidance and school psychology from Governor’s State University and an administrative degree from Chicago State University.
