This 33 credit hour course of graduate study develops an interrelated knowledge base in reading/literacy processes, performance-based assessments, technology integration, diversity and inquiry. The program reflects the Illinois State Reading Standards for the Reading Specialist. As cohort groups work and learn together, they explore the value of reading, writing and technology as tools for learning -- for themselves and for their students.
This program is offered with credit provided by Benedictine University and will result in a Master of Education degree, which leads to a Reading Specialist Certificate.
