Special Education Approval Program is for those who desire to teach children with learning disabilities, serious emotional disturbances, cognitive disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, traumatic brain injury, and other health impairments. In many cases, exceptional students experience more than one disability. Graduates of this program will be prepared to work with this population. Special Education Approval provides the sequence of courses necessary for state approval in special education and re-certification under the LBSI classification. This approval is designed for persons who already have teacher certification credentials in the State of Illinois.

Credit is offered through Roosevelt University.
