Presenter(s): Illinois Masonic Student Assistance Program

Online,
Date Summary:   1 Session on 7/14/2020.

Description:

This training will take place online. As educators, we are honored and obligated to meet the needs of all students. Research shows students who are gay, lesbian or transgender or perceived to be gay, lesbians or transgender experience a greater risk of suicide, substance abuse, dropping out of school and are often targets of violence and bullying. This workshop is designed to help teachers understand the backgrounds and needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered students and staff. We will also develop strategies that insure a safe and productive environment for all students.
