Description:

An effective school security program consists of more than just the state-mandated crisis management plan. How can you make sure your school is effectively addressing areas of vulnerability? This Academy will provide you with the tools you need to collaboratively and holistically approach school safety and security. From train-the-trainer style quizzes and photographic vulnerability identification to social media concerns and recommended policies, attendees will benefit from an interactive environment. The Academy also includes a tabletop exercise. Throughout the day, attendees will learn how to address common security issues, implement site-specific strategies, and access helpful resources.

Coffee service and lunch are included.

Laptops required for all participants in order to complete your Application/Dissemination activity.
