A Roadmap to Truly Inclusive Schools for LGBTQ+ Students, Part Two (Curriculum Development Focused)
Participants should attend Part One for LGBTQ+ 101 and the basics in creating a LGBTQ+ inclusive school. This training will provide participants with resources and space to develop LGBTQ+ inclusive lesson plans.
Topics covered:
· Understanding expectations regarding curricular inclusion for LGBTQ+ Students (Inclusive Curriculum Bill and Keeping Youth Safe and Healthy Act)
· Learn about LGBTQ+ trail blazers who have made positive contributions to this state and country
· Participants will utilize resources to create inclusive lesson plans and present to the group for feedback
Please bring your laptop or a device. Handouts and slides will be sent out prior to training
