Response to Intervention, an integrated general education approach, is required of every school in Illinois to address the academic and behavioral needs of all learners. The model includes screening, assessment, identifying areas of need, and providing targeted interventions to close learning gaps. Data from a Response to Intervention (RtI) process is required in the State of Illinois as part of the identification of students who may need special education services.
